Malam Interaksi AIESEC UM
A few of us from AIESEC in TUC managed to attend UM's Malam Interaksi AIESEC (AIESEC Night) on the 24th of July 2008. MIA is a little event organised yearly for new AIESEC members to familiarise themselves with the organisation's culture and what we are all about. Here's Alif, LC UM's President. ![]() Spot our very own William and Leon in this ice-breaking game. ![]() If you fail to pay attention to the game, you will get punished! This game requires each player to make a mistake so that you introduce yourself to everyone else. Not so bad la... ![]() Always great to meet old & new friends. ![]() This is the part where we watch videos describing the opportunities AIESEC offers. ![]() Jose from Spain sharing his experience with the audience. ![]() If you feel you have missed out on something great, don't fret. AIESEC TUC's Induction Camp is coming up soon. Stay tuned for more details.

Members Recruitment Drive in Town!
Hey AIESEC!!!! Oh man! Long time no see!! How's everyone doing? Good? I guess most of you out there are still on holidays whilst some have resumed classes. Whatever it is, it's been long time since our last AG and we definitely miss you guys out there . Please do come for our upcoming AG which is on the 23rd of July, Wednesday. Let us unite on that day!! I miss everyone's faces and your laughter! Anyway, we will be having our Members Recruitment Drive on the 29th of July, Tuesday. Mark this down on your daily planners! We need your help to bring in more members and spread the uniqueness of this organization to more people. Assist them in discovering and developing their potential and hidden talents through the AIESEC International Platform. Teehehehe ; ) So if you are interested in helping us out in the recruitment drive, do let me know. It is fun recruiting members , you get to see different/interesting people who are seeking for extra curriculum activities which I think is an interesting process. Not forgetting that you get to make new friends. Of course we wont be using AIESEC jargons to sell our membership, it is more of a personal touch when approaching potential members. Sound interesting enough? Want to find out more? My thoughts as a Talent Manager
So let me ask you what you know by the name Talent Management? Some say it's about managing talent, developing talent, and discovering people’s talent. It sounds so nice yet so abstract, don’t you think? In fact it sounds really glamourous, yet it is not an easy task…. Yeah, I’m managing talents. Talent Management is a big word to me, taking the responsibility of Director of Talent Management in LC TUC is not as easy as I thought it would be. For example, a simple task like conducting an AIESEC Gathering (AG) sounds simple right? Present the information from power point slide like any usual presentation in classes? This time I disagree with it!! A Big NO NO!!! We know that this department deals with people, of course engaging the audience is really important. One tip for presentations is knowing human behavior- it is one of the biggest strengths if you are able to master the skill. So embarking the journey of Talent Management thus far, I have learnt a lot. Not knowing what Human Resource is, only by hearing the words of Human Resource I think I know what it is about. “Selecting the right person to do the right job”. Yes my question is how? Is really easy by just throwing what is HR, why HR, when to do selection but we often forget about How to do it? That’s when actions come in as a Human Resource manager. Speaking from experience of being as a Talent Manager for almost 5 months, I've seen different types of people, I've discovered myself, and I know more about myself. I've learnt the ways of speaking to people, basically communication and interpersonal skills. The most touching part happens when you see each and every one of your members grow day by day. You feel so happy for them, the effort that you have put on them and you see the results…..blast! It is damn good! In fact, I learnt how to appreciate what I have now or what others have contributed in this society. It was all good, I never knew until I was hit by something called Passion. I feel so hyper, I feel so happy when I talk about AIESEC, AIESEC has changed me into someone I've desired to be. I’m glad that I picked the right choice in my university life that makes me a better person now and then to prepare my career path in future. I have no regrets staying in AIESEC, not even a single ounce. Thank you AIESEC, the best platform that has given me so many memorable and unforgettable moments. Love, Cecilia Director of Talent Management in AIESEC TUC
