LLDS 08

Somehow when I watched thi video I felt so moved. LLDS 08 was definately something memorable for me. Yea my words can't describe it but I have strong feelings for it.

Anyway back to the main point. The communications department task force (Daniel, Ramadhan, & Jun Yuan) is going to create a DVD for each LLDS participant. It will contain pictures and all material used such as powerpoint slides and videos. Do give us some time so that we can produce the best for you. Muahaha!!!

An Extra Special AG

HEY AIESEC!!

Forgive the late notice, but this news just got in;

Our very own HIV/AIDS intern, Floortje van Rijn would be conducting a session (on HIV/AIDS, of course!) especially for our members this week! It will be during our usual AG time, at our usual AG place. Details are as follow:

Date : 28th May 2008 (Wednesday)
Time : 4.00-6.00 pm
Venue : Room 5.17 (Taylor's Business School)

HIV/AIDS has been an ongoing issue in Malaysia, and AIESEC Malaysia along with Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia have been running an ongoing Project Based on Exchange (PBoX), where interns come into Malaysia to spread awareness among our school children and our youth. Floortje, from the Netherlands, is one of those interns (brought in by AIESEC TUC!) working on this impactful project.

Do come along with your friends to learn more about the reality of HIV/AIDS in Malaysia, and some facts about this pandemic. Also, talk to Floortje about her Development Traineeship and her experiences so far!

We're looking forward to this amazing session. See you there!

Living A Dream (Ren Chang)

It's like a dream come true! Faci team which consist of interns, alumni & members - all integrated :) I've always dreamt of this when I was an LC member and to actually be part of it is just amazing! Thanks faci team for bringing things together - though we're a really diverse team (and seriously we really are for a LC conference) but it just brought in more synergy to what we all dreamt of how LLDS would be like ;)

It was an amazing conference over the weekend in Malacca. The faci team which includes myself had a dream to how LLDS would look like, and we're happy that it turned out to what we truly wanted it to be ;) Getting delegates to dig deeper into understanding the basics of the organization, so as to create that personal connection to it. And once that's done, you would just need to constantly provide them with opportunities for development & growth in the organization.

I felt the delivery of the sessions were pretty cool for a LLDS ;) At LLDS, you learn the basics of the organization, and the challenge for facilitators is to make everything seem so simple, makes sense, easily understood and most importantly FUN!

A special moment for me during the conference was at the closing plenary. The EBs were asked to stand in the middle of the plenary where delegates form a circle around them. All the EBs eyes were to be closed and delegates were given an opportunity to whisper their thanks & gratitude towards the EBs for their encouragement, support, guidance & friendship. At that very moment, something just hit me! Standing in front of me is a group of young dedicated leaders who are passionate to make things happen ;) Among them are three double term EBs. Among them were leaders who have been to international conferences. Among them are some who shared with me that they want to go on X after their leadership role. It just struck me that this was actually happening, and that I was living in the moment. I just couldn't believe it that a dream in mid 2005 is actually taking shape today right in front of my eyes.

AIESEC-LC-TUC, keep up the good job!!! I can forsee that by 2010, AIESEC-LC-TUC would be recognised as the LC with Excellent Culture living the 6 values, Excellent Performance, and Contribution to National Plenary ;D One of the key success factors would be your Love & Care culture!

Thanks for the opportunity to facilitate at LLDS TUC 2008; more importantly to witness how much potential a baby LC has ;)

Living a dream,
Ren Chang

We want YOU!!!

Hey AIESEC!!!

Once upon a time there was Daniel, he happened to be the Director of Communication for AIESEC in TUC. He created a blog especially for AIESEC in TUC, and he saw that it was good. Time and time he and his teammates updated the blog with new events and little articles, and they too saw that it was good.

However Daniel felt as though it needed something more, something different and fresh. He pondered…

“I believe it is time you, members, started contributing to the blog!” he thought.

Want your opinions and feelings to be heard? Now is your chance to put up your own posts on aiesectuc.myaiesec.net! Maybe you can tell the whole world what you like about AIESEC or even how the organisation has impacted you. What about the new and wonderful friends from diverse backgrounds you have met? It is the new age, anything can happen.

So, are you up for it? Send your posts complete with pictures (if you wish) to daniel_khong@yahoo.com.

I am an AIESECer.

Ready for More?

It seems as thought LLDS 08 in TUC was the greatest event that we have been through so far this year. Wouldn't it be great if we could experience more of it?

Just wait a little longer! The My Leadership Development Seminar (formerly known as the National Leadership Development Seminar) will be held from the 5th - 10th of December 2008. Venue has yet to be confirmed.

We'll keep everyone updated!
